Dead dolphins washing up on Virginia beaches at an alarming rate

44 bottle-nosed dolphins have been found dead on Virginia beaches during the month of July, bringing the year’s total to 82 strandings.

The Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center is currently testing tissue samples, as the cause of death cannot readily be determined.
